Throughout our lifetime, major technological advancements have dramatically changed the way we work. We’ve seen the personal computer, the internet, email, e-commerce, search, the iPhone, social media, the app economy—and now, artificial intelligence. It is ushering in yet another transformative era, redefining how we interact, create, and grow in both personal and professional spaces.

Through these changes, I’ve refined a leadership approach and a set of principles as my foundation, rooted in empathy, creativity, and pragmatism, that does not waver. These principles guide how I lead and will shape the insights I share in the Unlocking More newsletter.

How I Lead

Passion, compassion, and empathy coupled with a balance of creativity, innovation, pragmatism, and a futurist focus. While never forgetting, at the end of the day, I’m responsible for creating an environment where every individual is able to contribute in their own unique way to the task at hand … no matter how big or small.

My Principles

  • I’m direct. I always “appear” serious – though I’m not. I care about my employees first and foremost, and customers a very close second.
  • Work / Life balance matters, and along with trust, is a significant part of the foundation of high performance teams.
  • One’s character holds as much importance to me as their performance.
  • My success is born from my employees, not the other way around.
  • There is always a way, resolute determination can change the outcome. 
  • Have hard conversations, in a disarming, diffident manner.
  • True transparency on all performance issues. You don’t have to be perfect; your best is enough if it meets or exceeds the standard.
  • Reasonableness rules us: “It’s not who’s right, it’s what’s right.
  • Achieve Desired Outcomes by working hard and working smart.
